Mission: 
1. To utilize technology and the humanities for the enhancement of artistic audiovisual technology and the creation of a higher artistic realm for audiovisual media. 
2. To record the university's achievements in education, research, creativity and performance and further develop the school's unique educational characteristics. 
3. To serve the community, to promote the development of media cultural diversity while respecting the cultures of different ethnic groups, providing the community with channels for expression. 
Goals: 
To utilize the studio's DI and new HD equipment to train video production personnel, combining the resources of the Graduate Institute of Studies in Documentary & Film Archiving and the Graduate Institute of Animation and Film Art to produce creative television programs.

The studio possesses HD multicam directing equipment and professional studio lighting equipment; this equipment is mainly used to produce television programs, including talk shows with a cultural and historical focus, interviews with visiting guests, etc.

The Tainan Film Center was planned and is operated by the College of Sound and Image Arts, Tainan National University of the Arts. The building was commissioned by the city of Tainan and is Tainan's first film center and meanwhile, a community center integrating higher education resources. The film center plans film screenings and exhibitions, organizing courses in film-making and media literacy in order to promote film preservation concepts and to cultivate professional talent in the Tainan film and television industry.
